School No. 11 in Poltava. The first procurement for the reconstruction of the kitchen was announced at about UAH 72.1 million - there were no bidders. After the project was adjusted, a new tender was announced at almost UAH 90.2 million. In other words, the expected cost rose by about UAH 18 million. One bidder came to the repeat tender, and a contract for almost UAH 90 million was signed with it. The State Audit Service has also taken an interest in the procurement.
Lyceum No. 17 "Intelekt". The kitchen reconstruction project is over UAH 36 million. Again, the tender effectively had one bidder.
Zinkiv core lyceum. The tender for the reconstruction of the kitchen is over UAH 24 million, also with one bidder. Journalists have previously pointed to possible overpricing of some equipment and materials in the estimate.
We are not saying canteens do not need to be rebuilt. They do.
But at the same time, the question of proper shelters in schools and kindergartens is still far from resolved everywhere.
And when one kitchen can cost almost UAH 90 million, and over UAH 120 million in total is budgeted for three sites, one has to ask about priorities.
