RESISTANCE MEDIA · sprotyv.media
- §This Policy explains what personal data the RESISTANCE MEDIA website sprotyv.media processes, why and for how long, to whom it may be passed and what rights you have. In short: you can read the Website without registration; we do not use advertising trackers, web analytics or tracking cookies.
- 1.Who is responsible for your data
Personal data controller: the NGO "RESISTANCE" (EDRPOU code 45584011, address: 79020, Ukraine, Lviv, 136, Varshavska Str.), hereinafter "we". It publishes the online media outlet RESISTANCE MEDIA on the website sprotyv.media (the "Website").
For any questions about personal data, write to support@sprotyv.team.
- 2.Legal basis and principles
We process personal data in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection". We also follow the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
• lawfulness and transparency: you know what we process and why;
• purpose limitation: data is used only for the purposes described here;
• data minimisation: we collect only what we cannot do without;
• storage limitation: we do not keep data longer than necessary;
• security and confidentiality of data.
- 3.What data we process
When you read the Website. We do not ask you to register and do not collect your name or contact details. The server the Website runs on automatically receives technical request data: IP address, date and time, the address of the page opened, the page you came from, and the browser and device type. This data is needed for the Website to work and to protect it from attacks and abuse.
Search. Search works in your browser. The query itself is not sent to the server, but it appears in the page address, so it may end up in the technical request data if you open or send such a link.
Theme and language settings. If you switch between the light and dark theme or between Ukrainian and English, the Website remembers your choice in browser storage (localStorage) on your device. This is only the name of the theme or language; it contains no personal data and is not sent to us.
When you write to us. If you send an email to support@sprotyv.team, we receive your email address, your name (if you gave it), the text of the email and attachments. We use them only to reply, to review your request, to check facts and to prepare materials.
- 4.Cookies
The Website does not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. If we ever add web analytics or other services that use cookies, we will update this Policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before using them.
- 5.Third-party services and links
"Share" buttons. The Facebook, Telegram and X buttons on the Website are ordinary links. They do not load third-party scripts and pass nothing on until you click them. After clicking, you go to the social network's service, and its privacy rules apply from then on.
Other links. The Website contains links to sprotyv.team, the membership form of the NGO "RESISTANCE", the donation page, the PrivatBank statement of funds, our social media pages and videos on Facebook. The videos are not embedded in the Website and open separately. We do not accept payments or receive payment data through the Website itself. These services have their own privacy policies.
Hosting and email. The Website is hosted on a server of a hosting provider that stores technical data on our behalf. Emails to support@sprotyv.team are processed by Google's email service (Google Workspace). These providers may process data outside Ukraine. We use only services that ensure an adequate level of data protection.
We do not sell or pass your personal data to other persons, except in cases expressly provided by law, for example by a court decision.
- 6.Protection of sources
We consider the data of people who give us information for investigations to be especially sensitive. We do not disclose the identity of a source without their consent, except when a court decision requires it. The rules on the anonymity of sources are described in the Editorial policy.
- 7.How long we keep data
• Technical request data is kept only as long as needed for the operation and security of the Website, and is then deleted.
• Correspondence is kept as long as needed to review a request or work on a material, and for the periods required by law. You can ask us to delete your correspondence if the law does not oblige us to keep it.
• Theme and language settings are kept in your browser until you clear them yourself.
- 8.Your rights
In accordance with Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" and the principles of the GDPR, you have the right to:
• know what data about you we process, for what purpose and where it is stored;
• access your data;
• demand that inaccurate data be corrected or that data be deleted if there are no longer grounds for processing it;
• object to processing or restrict it;
• withdraw consent to processing if the processing is based on consent;
• receive your data in a convenient format;
• lodge a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or go to court.
- 9.How to send a request
Write to support@sprotyv.team with the subject "Personal data" and describe what exactly you want to do. To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you.
We will reply within the time limits set by law, and no later than 30 calendar days.
- 10.Security
The Website works over a secure HTTPS connection. Only authorised people have access to the server and email of the Editorial Office. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data from loss, alteration or unauthorised access.
- 11.Children
The Website is not intended to collect data from children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of persons under 14. If you believe a child has sent us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
- 12.Changes to the Policy
We may change this Policy, for example if new features appear on the Website. A new version takes effect from the moment it is published on this page; the date of the version is shown at the top of the document.
