Anti-Corruption Policy Committee meeting on the Midas case: what to expect?
On 26 February the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy will hold a special meeting on the investigation of the Midas case. It will hear representatives of NABU, SAPO, the SBU and Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Yevhen Pikalov. What will this achieve? Will the Committee be able to counter pressure on the investigation and outline the next steps for law enforcement? I think rather not than yes. The Office of the President has direct influence over parliament, and the format itself does not define any specific legal decisions.
