Today, 28 March, a farewell ceremony and cremation of veteran Serhiy Rusinov took place in Kyiv. After the official public farewell ceremony in Korsun, his family and brothers-in-arms travelled to the capital, where some public figures were already waiting for them, namely civic activists of the NGO "RESISTANCE". It should be noted that, sadly, apart from the independent journalists of RESISTANCE MEDIA, no other journalists from the capital or public figures attended this mourning event.
Before the cremation, a special farewell rite was held in the Rodnover tradition, as the veteran himself had wished. The rite was conducted by a specially chosen volkhv, since during his life Serhiy Rusinov practised Rodnovery. This form of ceremony reflected his worldview and beliefs.
His brothers-in-arms remember Serhiy as a man of honour and of his word, devoted to his country and his principles. The family thanks everyone who came to honour the warrior's memory and support his loved ones at this difficult time. We must remember and honour those who showed their love for their country and people on the battlefield and built Ukraine's future at the cost of their own lives and health.
