The Pension Fund will change the procedure for recalculating and paying pensions

The case in briefRESISTANCE MEDIA

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has prepared a draft resolution that simplifies procedures, clarifies the required documents and regulates recalculation and payments.

The Pension Fund will change the procedure for recalculating and paying pensions
Economy, 09.09.2025

The draft introduces a number of changes that will directly affect everyone applying for a pension:

  1. A clear list of documents for early retirement pensions.
  2. Clarified requirements for documents for disability pensions.
  3. Online applications: the option to submit documents to resume a pension via video conference with an electronic signature.
  4. Payments for Crimea and Sevastopol: a Pension Fund body has been designated to pay pensions to citizens who do not receive them from Russia.
  5. Recalculation deadlines for those whose pension was assigned automatically.
  6. Confirmation of residence or work in settlements with mining status.
  7. Suspension of payments during temporary residence abroad.
  8. Insurance record before 1992 in former USSR countries that have no pension agreements with Ukraine.
  9. A recalculation mechanism when new data on the single social contribution arrive.

The Pension Fund expects these changes to reduce red tape and make dealing with the Fund more transparent and convenient. This is especially important for those living abroad or in temporarily occupied territories. The new rules also regulate automatic recalculation of pensions, which matters if data on insurance record or social contributions change.

The 2014 provisions on payments in Crimea and Sevastopol are proposed to be repealed. This removes legal conflicts and makes pension accrual clearer and more up to date.
