An investigating judge of the HACC chose for Yermak a preventive measure of detention for 60 days with the alternative of bail of 140 million hryvnias. By the court's decision he was taken into custody right in the courtroom.
If bail is posted, Yermak will be obliged to wear an electronic bracelet, not leave Kyiv without the permission of the investigation and the court, surrender all passports for travel abroad, and refrain from communicating with other suspects in the case and witnesses. Separately, the HACC banned him from contacting Veronika "Feng Shui" Anikiievych and a number of other persons.
Sources in political circles also claim that yesterday, for the second day in a row, people who could post bail for "R2" were being actively sought. According to the sources, among those who might allegedly cover the main part of the bail, lawyers of the Asters firm or the firm itself were discussed. Also, according to the sources, Yermak's friends were being considered.
As a reminder, it was RESISTANCE members who earlier took to the streets demanding Yermak's dismissal, and also launched a petition to ban bail for top corrupt officials during martial law. We believe corruption cases worth hundreds of millions should not end with the possibility of walking free on bail.
Sign the petition to abolish bail for top corrupt officials and join RESISTANCE.
