Finland, which chairs the OSCE, is convening a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council at Ukraine's request on 9 September at 11:00 Kyiv time. It is a response to Russia's strikes on Ukraine. This was announced by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on his social media page.
«This meeting will be a response to Russia's recent massive attacks, which have caused numerous civilian casualties and destruction», the statement says.
Sybiha stressed that only decisive and consistent pressure on the aggressor, including through tough sanctions, can force Moscow to stop imitating diplomacy and join genuine efforts to end the war of aggression.
